It’s a copper based dry algaecide in unique pods that can be used to cure an algae outbreak (yellow or green) or prevent algae (yellow, green or black) from happening for up to 6 months.

Typically, in a few hours but no more than 24. At that time, the empty pod will float to the top of the skimmer. You can easily remove and discard it on your next service call.

When you use FROG Algae Blocker 4Pro as a preventative application, start with a clean filter.
Do not clean or backwash the filter for at least 2 weeks after using a pod.

If a pool gets algae within 90 days of using FROG Algae Blocker 4Pro, we will supply enough FROG Algae Blocker 4Pro to cure the algae outbreak at no charge. That takes the worry away from you and you can also tell your customers that this product is guaranteed.

Make sure the bucket is sealed and always store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area until ready to use.
It’s important to keep the desiccants in the bucket, do not discard them.

It has a 4X Stain Guard – 4 distinct stain inhibitors that keep the copper from falling out of solution and staining surfaces.

Both use the same copper, but PoolRX uses less, so you often need a booster to keep the pool algae free for 6 months. PoolRX also has a much larger footprint and has to stay in a pump or skimmer basket for 6 months. FROG Algae Blocker 4Pro dispenses within 24 hours with no booster needed and you can discard the empty pod upon the next service visit. That means you don’t have to clean around anything.
FROG Algae Blocker 4Pro also contains 25% more stain inhibitors, so you can use it on smaller pools than PoolRx’s products, plus, it has much less chance of staining than PoolRx’s product line.
