It is important to use FROG Hot Tub Pipe & Jet Cleanser before you empty and refill the tub. The gel penetrates deep into the plumbing system, loosening and removing hidden buildup from oils, lotions and inorganic contaminants and releasing them into the water where they can then be removed when draining.

Yes! When using FROG Hot Tub Pipe & Jet Cleanser there are a few very important steps to ensure success.

  • Before adding the product, remove the filter and let it float in the water and remove all headrests if possible.
  • Use the product while the hot tub or swim spa is still full. This powerful gel cleans out the greasiest grime from inside the plumbing where you can’t see it.
  • Be sure to turn off power to the hot tub or swim spa before starting to drain.
  • As the water drains, continuously use a wet rag or hose to rinse and wipe down the inside of the hot tub or swim spa to remove all scum as the water line moves lower.
  • Before refilling the tub following your manufacturer’s instructions, rinse and reinstall the filter and clean all surfaces with a gentle cleanser making sure to rinse and wipe everything down so no residue remains before refilling.

Yes. FROG Hot Tub Pipe & Jet Cleanser is safe for use with all hot tub and swim spas. It’s specially formulated to be effective, yet gentle, without staining or damaging your spa’s surfaces.

The single use packet is pre-measured for simple application for all hot tubs up to 600 gallons with no math, no spills and no staining. The tube requires measuring—1 teaspoon treats 125 gallons.

For best results, use every time you plan to drain and refill the hot tub or swim spa.

The FROG Hot Tub Pipe & Jet Cleanser is a single, pre-measured concentrated dose powerful enough to clean the plumbing system in fewer applications. No need to manually measure and dispense multiple doses. The concentrated formula also frees up storage space and lightens your product load.

  • Step 1: Remove the filter and let it float in the water. If possible, remove headrests.
  • Step 2: Add the product to the hot tub or swim spa while it is still full and run the jets for up to 30 minutes.
  • Step 3: Turn off the power to hot tub or swim spa.
  • Step 4: Skim off the top layer of gunk, then begin draining.

  • Step 8: Refill with water following your manufacturer’s instructions.
